Report A Hate Crime

Hate crimes and incidents come in many different forms. If a hate crime happens to you or someone you know, it is important that you report it.

By reporting hate crime when it happens, you can help stop it happening to someone else. You can also help the police to better understand the level of hate crime in your local area to improve the way they respond to it, in turn helping your friends, family and community.

Hate crimes are any crimes that are targeted at a person because of hostility or prejudice towards that person’s:

  • Disability

  • Race or ethnicity

  • Religion or belief

  • Sexual orientation

  • Transgender identity

  • Age

  • Gender

Call 999 if you’re reporting a crime that’s in progress or if someone is in immediate danger.
Call 101 to contact local police for non emergency.
